Central Chile not all about the coast and beaches. There are mountains in Central Chile. About 40 mins the other direction from Santiago, high in the Andes looking down on Santiago, are the major ski centers of Valle Nevado, El Colorado, La Parva. They all share the same mountain, and you can ski from one resort to the other. First, a bit of explanation is in order regarding ski culture in Chile, and especially Central Chile.
